Jose A. Burgos

Jose Burgos is an experienced professional currently serving as the Lead Tutor at the University of North Florida since August 2020. In this role, responsibilities include assessing over 30 tutors across 11 disciplines and developing training materials on tutoring skills and intercultural communication. Additional experience as a Mathematics and Statistics Tutor involves coordinating over 150 hours of tutoring sessions for challenging courses. As Secretary for SHPE UNF, efforts include preparing 50 students for a major national convention through workshops. Jose also works as a Physics Grader, evaluating over 2000 assignments per semester, and previously facilitated a cohort of first-year honors students, promoting community and educational engagement. Jose Burgos is pursuing a degree at the University of North Florida, expected to graduate in 2023.
