Nick abu-Absi

Nick Abu-Absi is an accomplished professional in the field of cell culture and process development with extensive experience in the biotechnology industry. Currently serving as the Director of Cell Culture Development at AbbVie since January 2016, Nick leads a team focused on developing processes for the manufacture of recombinant proteins. Prior to this role, Nick held positions at Bristol-Myers Squibb as a Senior Engineer in the Cell Culture Process Development Group and at Chiron Corporation as a Scientist II, where the focus was on developing upstream processes for vaccines and recombinant proteins. Nick holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of Toledo.
