Tamsin Stewart has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Tamsin began their career working as an Account Director at Shilland Communications, where they directed communication campaigns for well-known brands, focusing on refreshing or maintaining brand image. Tamsin then moved on to become a Group Head at Burson-Marsteller London, where they led strategic communications campaigns for Fortune 100 clients and addressed public issues.

Following this, Tamsin pursued further education and obtained an MSc in Natural Language Engineering from the University of Edinburgh. Tamsin'sresearch focused on clustering song genres using lyrics and applying text processing and sentiment analysis techniques. Tamsin excelled in their program, earning the first position in their class.

Tamsin then worked as a JSPS Fellow at the Nara Institute of Science and Technology, conducting research on event-based information retrieval. Tamsin also served as a Conference Co-Chair at the Scottish Informatics and Computer Science Association (SICSA) PhD Conference, where they managed the program committee and established review procedures.

Continuing their academic pursuits, Tamsin became a Visiting Scholar at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, conducting independent research and working on their PhD in Informatics. Tamsin collaborated with fellow graduate students to develop algorithms and tag identification systems for image retrieval.

Tamsin returned to the University of Edinburgh for their PhD in Informatics, focusing on semantically-informed information retrieval for natural language queries. Tamsin'sresearch involved developing graph-based and feature-based approaches to improve performance in information retrieval.

In 2014, Tamsin co-founded Barocco Tribal Emporium, an international retailer specializing in exercise and dance clothing sourced and manufactured in India. Tamsin served as the head of US marketing and operations and successfully generated a profit of $10,000 in the first six months of operation.

Tamsin's most recent work experience is at Broadway Babies and Kids, where they are responsible for developing the educational curriculum and leading classes in Arabic music and dance. These classes aim to develop musical and linguistic skills in young children while promoting an appreciation for Middle Eastern culture and diversity.

Throughout their career, Tamsin has also worked as a consultant, providing expertise in large-scale language processing problems and helping clients refine their software development strategies.

Tamsin Stewart pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting with their Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture & Civil Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, which they obtained from 1992 to 1995. Tamsin then proceeded to the University of Edinburgh, where they achieved an MSc cum laude in Informatics from 2006 to 2007. Building upon their accomplishments, Tamsin engaged in a doctoral program at the University of Edinburgh, specializing in Informatics, as a PhD candidate for the period spanning from 2007 to 2011.
