Ryan Orizondo

Ryan Orizondo is a Senior Mechanical Engineer II at Abiomed since September 2021, with extensive experience in both academic and research settings. Prior roles include Research Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh Swanson School of Engineering and Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Ryan's doctoral research at the University of Michigan focused on liquid perfluorocarbon-antibiotic emulsions for treating respiratory infections. Additional contributions include teaching as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University and conducting significant research at the University of Michigan Medical School's ECLS Lab and Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences. Ryan holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering and a B.S.E. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
