Ana Sharma

Ana Sharma has extensive experience in quality assurance and research and development in the pharmaceutical industry. Ana is currently the Vice President and Global Head of Quality Assurance at Abivax, a position they have held since December 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Takeda as the Vice President and Global Head of Research and Development Clinical Quality Assurance from March 2020 to December 2023.

Before joining Takeda, Ana held various leadership roles at Novartis, including Global Head of Strategy and Operations in Development Quality Assurance from December 2017 to March 2020. Ana also served as the Global Head of Pharmacovigilance Quality Assurance from January to December 2017, and as the Global Head of Clinical and Pharmacovigilance Quality Operations and Systems from April 2015 to January 2017. Additionally, they worked as the Global Head of Clinical Quality Auditing from April 2014 to April 2015, and as a Senior Manager in Corrective and Preventive Action Management from December 2012 to March 2014.

Prior to their time at Novartis, Ana worked at Amgen as a Compliance Manager from July 2007 to August 2011, and as a Clinical Quality Advisor from July 2006 to July 2007. Before that, they were employed at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute as a Clinical Trials Audit Manager from September 2004 to July 2006, and as a Clinical Research Coordinator from September 2003 to September 2004. Ana began their career as a Research Technician at the Boston University School of Medicine from September 2001 to September 2003.

Ana Sharma has a Master of Public Health degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Boston University. Ana also has additional certifications, including being a Certified Clinical Research Professional from the Society of Clinical Research Associates, a Certified Quality Auditor from the American Society for Quality, a completion of the "Leading Effective Decision Making" course from Yale University, and being a Registered Quality Assurance Professional in Good Clinical Practice from the Society of Quality Assurance.
