N-Neka Smith

N-Neka Smith joined ABL in June 2021. She serves as the Vice President of Quality Operations, which includes direct oversite of Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Analytical Development. N-Neka is a dynamic Quality Leader with versatile expertise in Clinical and Commercial Contract Manufacturing. She has over 28 years of industry experience in Quality Operations, to include Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Validation. In her role, N-Neka provides the strategic vision for Quality organization and compliance guidance over internal Regulatory inquiries.

Prior to joining, ABL, N-Neka served as Site Quality Head for Catalent’s, Gene Therapy Biopark site (formally Paragon). In this role, she oversaw the Quality Assurance and Validation activities and the aggressive expansion of the Quality Organization. She also gained extensive experience with supporting Government Contract work from her time as Director of Quality Assurance at Emergent BioSolutions. N-Neka holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Northeastern University and a Master of Management degree from Leslie University.
