Amara Humphry

Amara Humphry is currently the Head of R&D at Abl. Prior to this, they were the Co-founder of GiveThx and an Entrepreneur in Residence at Leadership Public Schools. Amara also served as the Co-founder and Chief Product Officer at Gooru for 5 years and 10 months. Additionally, they were the founder of Pinchd and a Design Research Intern at France Telecom.

Amara has dedicated their career to helping others and improving social-emotional skills through gratitude. Amara is an equity-focused, inclusive and thoughtful team leader, who is constantly pushing the boundaries of how product design, engineering and data science can be leveraged to improve student outcomes and increase opportunities in ed tech. Under their leadership, the Abl R&D team has made great strides in user-centered design, technical depths and rich education data insights and recommendations to help more students graduate college and career ready.
