Kent Baltare, CPA-CA

Kent Baltare, CPA-CA has a diverse work experience in finance and operations. Kent is currently serving as the Vice President of Operations at Abodu since January 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of General Manager-Northern California/ Vice President of Operations from December 2019 to December 2021.

Before joining Abodu, Kent founded Carlson Equities, LLC in 2018. Kent'srole focused on the acquisition and management of vacation rental investment properties within the United States. Kent'sresponsibilities included market research, portfolio management, deal due diligence, and underwriting, pre-construction deal negotiation, guest experience-based property renovations, tax strategies, and channel optimization.

From November 2018 to December 2019, Kent worked at Veev as the Director of Financial Operations. Kent also served as an Assistant Controller from February 2017 to November 2018.

Kent gained experience in finance and accounting at The Siegfried Group from April 2015 to February 2017, where they worked as a Senior Associate and later as an Associate Manager.

Kent began their career at PwC in September 2011 as an Experienced Associate and eventually became a Senior Associate from June 2014 to April 2015.

Kent Baltare, CPA-CA, has a strong educational background in the field of accounting and finance. Kent obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Applied Economics with a concentration in Financial Economics from Carleton University, graduating in 2009. In 2010 and 2011, they attended The University of British Columbia to further their knowledge in accounting. Kent then pursued their Chartered Accountant designation from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) from 2012 to 2015. Additionally, Kent Baltare holds a CPA certification from CPABC (Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia).
