Joanna Kooistra

Joanna Kooistra, MS, BCBA, is an experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst with a diverse background in behavior analysis and therapy. Currently serving as Intake BCBA at Above and Beyond Therapy since October 2022, Joanna has previously founded and held the position of President at JMK Behavior Services until January 2023. Joanna's extensive experience includes roles at Primary Psychological Associates, Autism Home Support Services, Inc., Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System, Giant Steps Inc., Behavioral Services of Tennessee, and Project 12-Ways. Notable skills include conducting functional assessments, experimental functional analyses of severe problem behavior, in-home and in-office ABA therapy, and developing behavior intervention plans, as well as providing training for parents and families. Joanna holds a Master of Science in Behavior Analysis and Therapy and a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Services from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
