Nicole Avramenko

Nicole Avramenko has a strong background in the food industry, with experience in research, innovation, and management roles. Nicole currently works at Above Food as a Research & Innovation Manager, starting in September 2022. Prior to that, Nicole worked at NorQuin, where they held multiple positions. Nicole served as a Food Science Manager from September 2020 to September 2022, during which they were responsible for overseeing the scientific aspects of food development. Before that, they worked as a Food Scientist R&D from May 2020 to September 2020 and as a Technical Services Manager from May 2019 to April 2020. Nicole also has academic experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Saskatchewan. Nicole collaborated with the Saskatchewan Food Industry Development Centre and worked under the supervision of Dr. Michael Nickerson. During their time at the university, Nicole conducted research in the Department of Food and Bioproduct Science. Nicole held the role of Postdoctoral Fellow from August 2018 to April 2019 and from October 2017 to July 2018. Overall, Nicole's work experience demonstrates their expertise and dedication in the field of food science and research.

Nicole Avramenko has a strong educational background in food science. Nicole completed their Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with a major in Food Science at the University of Saskatchewan from 2006 to 2010. Nicole then went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Food Science at the same institution from 2011 to 2013. Nicole further expanded their knowledge and expertise in the field by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Food Science from the University of Saskatchewan, where they studied from 2013 to 2017.
