Elisa Ferracane

Elisa Ferracane, PhD, is an NLP Research Scientist at Abridge since September 2020, previously serving as a Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin from October 2013 to September 2020. During a brief tenure at Salesforce in 2018, Elisa worked as a Deep Learning Research Intern, focusing on document structure analysis using neural networks. Prior to these roles, Elisa was a Software Engineer at IBM from March 2002 to August 2015. Education includes a Ph.D. in Computational Linguistics from The University of Texas at Austin (2015-2020) and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Universidad de Puerto Rico (1997-2001).
