Aaron Whitener has a diverse work experience with roles in sales engineering and insurance. Aaron is currently the Director of Sales Engineering at Abrigo, a technology provider for compliance and credit risk solutions in community financial institutions. Prior to this, they were the Manager of Sales Engineering at Abrigo. Before joining Abrigo, Aaron worked at Sageworks, where they held various roles including Sales Engineer & Senior Consultant, Regional Sales Manager, and Senior Account Executive. At Sageworks, they conducted technical system demonstrations, led customer training and implementation, managed a sales team, and oversaw sales operations for the ProfitCents platform. Aaron also has experience as an Insurance Agent at Senior Life Insurance Company, specializing in whole life and final expense policies. Aaron started their career as an Inside Sales Representative at Atlantech Distribution, Inc., where they provided sales support and managed inventory processes.
Aaron Whitener received their Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Law from Western Carolina University, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. Prior to their university education, they attended Hickory High School from 2004 to 2007. Aside from their formal education, Aaron also obtained additional certifications including a North Carolina Life Insurance License, Basic Mediation Training from the Mediation Network of North Carolina, and a North Carolina Hunter Safety Course from the N.C. Wildlife Resource Commission.
