Gawie van Blerk

Gawie van Blerk has extensive work experience in various technology-related roles. Gawie is currently working as a Lead Product Engineer at Absa Group. Prior to this, they worked as a Solutions Architect at Rozitech CC and a Senior Software Developer at ABSA - CIB Digital. Earlier in their career, they held positions such as Enterprise Architecture Practice Manager and IT Manager at KGA Life, Software Architect at urmobile LLC, Technical Advisor at Kaizania, Software Architect at Sui Generis Solutions, Java Software Engineer at Aspect Software, and Product Manager at NeuralAct. Their roles involved responsibilities such as creating and maintaining IT environments, leading software development projects, and managing IT infrastructure upgrades.

Gawie van Blerk earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Digital Signal Processing from Stellenbosch University, where they studied from 1983 to 1987. Gawie later pursued a Masters in Business Leadership with a focus on Industrial Marketing at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, completing their studies from 1996 to 2001. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification in C# from TestDome in April 2019.
