Joash John Govender

Joash John Govender has a diverse work experience spanning across various roles and companies. Joash John started their career in 2012 as an Audit Intern at KPMG, where they worked for three years. Joash John then joined Standard Bank South Africa as a Risk Intern in 2017. In 2018, they joined Standard Bank Group as a Corporate and Investment Banking Graduate, where they took on multiple roles including Financial Institutions Credit Risk Manager and Corporate Credit Risk Manager. Joash John worked in these roles until 2019, when they became the Manager of Project Finance Credit Risk in Corporate & Investment Banking. Most recently, in 2024, they joined Absa Group as a Vice President in Project Finance Credit Risk in Corporate & Investment Banking.

Joash John Govender completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting at the University of KwaZulu-Natal from 2012 to 2015. In 2016, they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree in Economics at the same university.
