Rob Cowie

Rob Cowie is a seasoned design professional with extensive experience in user experience and design leadership. Currently serving as a Senior Design Specialist at Absa Group since April 2020, Rob focuses on strategic initiatives and provides mentorship within the design domain. Previous roles include Head of User Experience at Momentum, where Rob managed self-service systems, and significant positions at Discovery Bank and Discovery Limited, where Rob headed UX and design efforts, advancing user-centered design principles. Additionally, Rob contributed to academia as a Design Lecturer at Open Window, educating future designers in User Experience Design. Rob's career began with a design consultancy at tntdigital, following a solid foundation in technology as a Senior Network Engineer at Butterfield Group. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Business Science (Hons) in Marketing from the University of Cape Town.
