Pankaj Panwar is a highly experienced scientist specializing in structural biology and biochemistry. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist II at Absci since May 2024, Pankaj previously held the position of Senior Scientist and Team Lead at AbCellera from August 2020 to November 2023, where responsibilities included leading the formation of a CryoEM focused Structural Biology team and developing innovative workflows for various stages of antibody discovery. Earlier experience includes roles as a Research Scientist at AbCellera, exploring membrane proteins, and as a Postdoctoral Fellow at The University of British Columbia, studying voltage-gated calcium channels. Additional postdoctoral research at the University of Alberta involved characterizing intramembrane proteases, and a PhD from Université Grenoble Alpes focused on membrane transporter mechanisms was preceded by a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
