Shelby Townsend

Shelby Townsend is an experienced educator currently serving as a Kindergarten Teacher at Absecon Public Schools since August 2020. With a background in special education as a Paraprofessional at Lower Township Elementary School District from January 2018 to June 2020, Shelby has a strong foundation in early childhood education, further reinforced by a Master of Education degree in Early Childhood Education from Montclair State University. Additionally, Shelby is a Consultant for Beautycounter, a certified B Corporation focused on transparency and safety in the personal care industry, and has held various managerial and advocacy roles prior to entering the education field, including Special Events Manager for Bread+Butter Events and Elder Abuse and Child Victim Advocate for The Crime Victims' Center of Chester County, Inc. Shelby holds two bachelor's degrees in Public & International Affairs and Art History from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
