Lisa Tarantino

Lisa Tarantino has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Lisa has been working at Abt Associates since 2010, initially as a Senior Associate and currently as a Project Director. In their role, they support initiatives to strengthen health systems and engage the private sector to improve access to quality health services. Lisa also served as the Ukraine Program Manager and was involved in assessing the health system of Indonesia.

In addition, Lisa has held positions at The Johns Hopkins University and Columbia University, where they served as a Practicum Advisor and Adjunct Associate Professor, respectively. Lisa has also worked at Banyan Global as a Senior Associate, focusing on private health sector development projects and access to commercial finance.

Prior to that, Lisa worked at the World Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Development Alternatives Inc. (DAI), and Asian Cross Roads Loan Company. In these roles, they specialized in development finance, small and medium enterprise (SME) development, and microfinance.

Lisa Tarantino received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from the College of the Holy Cross in 1990. Lisa then pursued further education and completed a Master of International Affairs (M.I.A.) with a focus on Economic and Political Development and Post-Soviet Studies at Columbia | SIPA from 1992 to 1994. Additionally, they participated in the Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowship Summer Program at the Gorny Institute in St. Petersburg, Russia, specializing in Russian Language and Literature in 1993.
