Raquel Gonzalez

Raquel Gonzalez, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and responsibilities. Raquel is currently employed at Abt Associates as the Principal Associate and Client Account Lead for Children, Youth, and Families. Prior to this, they worked at Social Policy Research Associates as the Associate Director, Director of Business Strategy, and Senior Associate. Their responsibilities included leading research and evaluation projects, developing strategic partnerships, and refining procedures for bid and proposal processes. Before that, Raquel held positions at the American Institutes for Research, where they led and managed large-scale randomized controlled trials and served as a project director and co-Principal Investigator. Raquel also worked as a Program Evaluator at the Maryland Institute for Minority Achievement and Urban Education, UMCP, where they designed research studies and wrote successful grant applications. Raquel began their career at the American Institutes for Research as a Research Associate, Project Associate, and Project Assistant, managing project budgets and conducting interviews in English and Spanish.

Raquel Gonzalez, Ph.D. obtained a Bachelor's of Science degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. Raquel later pursued a Ph.D. in Education Policy and Leadership from the University of Maryland, which they completed in 2012.
