Paul Smithson

Paul Smithson is currently serving as the Principal and Head of Practice for Health at Abt Associates in Britain, overseeing the health systems aspects of the Ascend programme. Previously, Paul held positions such as Senior Technical Adviser at MannionDaniels and Chief Knowledge Officer at Ifakara Health Institute. With a background in health policy, planning, and financing, Paul has extensive experience working with DFID and Save the Children UK in various roles across different countries. Paul holds a Master of Business Administration from Cranfield School of Management and a Master of Science in Health Planning and Financing from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
