Jaime Del Rio

Jaime Del Rio has extensive experience in community organizing and planning, currently serving as a North Valley Area Planning Commissioner for the City of Los Angeles since May 2023 and as Director of Organizing for Abundant Housing LA since May 2021. Previous roles include Community Outreach Coordinator at TreePeople, where efforts focused on expanding the tree canopy in the Northeast San Fernando Valley, and Community Organizer at Neighborhood Housing Services of Los Angeles County, emphasizing revitalization of low-income communities and advocacy for affordable homeownership. Early experiences include internships at Sun Valley Area Neighborhood Council and Habitat for Humanity. Jaime Del Rio holds a Bachelor's Degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from California State University, Northridge, earned between 2005 and 2012.
