Megan Denicola

Megan Denicola is a Senior Research Associate at Abveris. Megan has been with the company since November 2020 and has held this position since December 2021. Prior to their work at Abveris, Megan was a Research Associate at the University of Massachusetts Medical School from January 2011 to December 2021. During their time there, they were responsible for data collection and analysis using the hanging drop procedure and immunohistochemistry for a cardiogenesis article published in the Journal of Cellular Biochemistry. Megan also optimized immunohistochemistry protocols and used a fluorescent microscope to take quality pictures of both frozen and paraffin embedded tissue. In addition, Megan performed several cellular survival tests on cardiomyocytes and analyzed data. At Roger Williams Medical Center from March 2010 to July 2011, Megan was responsible for routine laboratory maintenance, cleaning, and calibrations to ensure the quality of the work being produced in lab, as well as ordering and filing records of laboratory supplies and reagents to ensure productivity. Megan was also closely involved with maintaining mouse lines, keeping daily records, and maintaining several cell lines, also keeping daily records and employing sterile technique to avoid contamination.
