Zehra Nese Kavak

Prof. Kavak was born in Istanbul. She graduated from Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1986. Kavak worked at St. Thomas's Hospital/London in 1990-1991 to be counted towards her residency. Kavak became an Associate Professor at Marmara University Medical Faculty Hospital in 1996. Between 2000-2001, she worked intermittently on Perinatology at King's College Hospital/London. Kavak received his Diploma in Fetal Medicine at King's College Hospital, London (2004). In 2001, she established the Perinatology Unit at Marmara University Medical Faculty Hospital. In the same year, Kavak became a professor and was appointed Chief Physician. Between 2001 and 2005, she served as Chief Physician at Marmara University Hospital. Between 2002-2006, he continued her duty as the Advisor to the Rector of Marmara University. Kavak was elected as the Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Marmara University Medical Faculty Hospital in 2002 and held this position for two terms. Kavak continued her duty as the Head of Perinatology Department between 2001-2011. He has 70 articles published in international peer-reviewed journals, 83 articles published in national peer-reviewed journals, a total of 153 articles, and a total of 1324 citations to these articles, 11 completed assistant dissertations directed by her, 120 papers presented at international and national scientific meetings and published in proceedings books.
