George Joblove

George Joblove has had an extensive career in the technology and entertainment industry. George started in 1985 at Lucasfilm, where they co-founded and co-managed the Computer Graphics Department at Industrial Light & Magic. George then worked at R/GA as the Director of Technology from 1993 to 1995. George served as a Technology Consultant independently in 1995. George joined Warner Bros. Studios in 1996 as the Director of Technology at Warner Digital Studios before moving to Sony Pictures Imageworks in 1998 as the Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer. In 2008, George became the Executive Vice President of Advanced Technology at Sony Pictures Entertainment. George joined the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2011 as the Co-Chairman of the Science and Technology Council and later became the VP of Technology and Standards in the Science and Technology Council. Additionally, George has also worked as a Digital Media Technology Advisor at Prima Lumina Consulting since 2011.

George Joblove holds a Master's degree in Computer Graphics from Cornell University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the same institution. George also pursued studies in Informatique at the National School of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics of Grenoble.
