David B. Rusate

Mr. Rusate is an Academy Securities’ Advisory Board Member and President & Founder of Rusate Capital Management.

Mr. Rusate is a Former Managing Director at the General Electric Company where he was the Treasurer of GE’s largest division, Power. He also had responsibility for foreign exchange and commodity risk management as well as sovereign risk. Additionally, Mr. Rusate served on the GE Pension Trust Asset Allocation Committee.

Prior to his positions at GE, Mr. Rusate spent the first 8 years of his career with Union Carbide in various International Treasury assignments. Mr. Rusate was selected as one of the 100 Most Influential People in Finance in June 2007 by Treasury & Risk Magazine. He served two terms as a Foreign Exchange Sub-Committee member of the New York Federal Reserve. Additionally, Mr. Rusate is a past President of the National Association of Credit Management. Mr. Rusate’s Trade Request System (TRS) was the 2003 winner of the Euro Finance Treasury Excellence Award. The natural gas simulator he co-developed won the 2006 Alexander Hamilton Award.

Mr. Rusate graduated from Quinnipiac College in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in International Finance. Mr. Rusate resides in Naples, Florida.
