Ignacio Araya has a diverse work experience in the culinary industry. Ignacio started their career as an Ayudante de Cocina at Tip y Tap in 2008. Ignacio then worked as a Maestro de Cocina at Muerdago Restaurant from 2009 to 2010. Ignacio joined Talbot Hotels S.A. in 2010 as a Chef de Partie and later became a Chef de Cuisine from 2012 to 2017. In 2017, they founded Santa Miga and took on the role of Founder. Ignacio also worked as a Chef de Cuisine at Hotelera Austral Santiago Spa from 2017 to 2017. Ignacio then joined Coalfa as a Head Chef from 2018 to 2019. Currently, they are serving as a Head Chef at Acalis Latam starting from 2022.
Ignacio Araya completed a Diplomado in Proyecto de hoteleria y turismo from Universidad Finis Terrae in 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a degree in Administracion gastronomica internacional from INACAP between 2006 and 2009.
