Chathura Rathnayake

Chathura Rathnayake is a Data Science Engineer at ISA since March 2024, contributing to the development of a flight demand forecasting model and optimizing legacy systems using Snowflake. Previously, as a Software Engineer at Yaala Labs from May 2023 to March 2024, Chathura designed and deployed an LLM-based chatbot on AWS. Chathura participated in the ScholarX mentoring program in 2022, gaining insights into AI research from Dr. Ransalu Senanayake. Additionally, Chathura held positions as a Research Intern at the University of Colombo School of Computing and as a Trainee in Huawei's Seeds for the Future program in 2021. Chathura holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computer Science from the University of Colombo School of Computing, completed in May 2023, and attended Ananda College from 2008 to 2017.
