Daben Liu

Daben Liu is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in applied research, speech technology, and natural language processing. Currently serving as the Vice President of Applied Research at Capital One since September 2023, Daben previously held significant roles at Apple, including Senior Manager, Siri Speech Manager, and Senior Speech R&D Engineer from October 2013 to September 2023. Daben's earlier career includes positions as Chief Consultant at Speech Consulting Services and Mobile Consulting Services, Chief Technology Officer, and Director of Speech Technology at 8DWorld Inc., and Senior Scientist at BBN Technologies, where Daben contributed to numerous research initiatives and publications. Daben Liu holds a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University and an MBA in General Management from Babson College.
