Shane Buker

Shane Buker has an extensive work experience in the field of research. Shane began their career as a Laboratory Intern at Genzyme in 2001. The same year, they were also an Undergraduate Research Fellow at Boston University. In 2003, they became a Ph.D candidate at Harvard Medical School. From 2009 to 2012, they worked as a Scientist at Constellation Pharmaceuticals. Shane then moved to FORMA Therapeutics, Inc. where they were a Senior Scientist from 2012 to 2016. In 2016, they joined Goldfinch Bio as a Principal Scientist. Since 2018, they have been working at Accent Therapeutics, Inc. where they have held the roles of Associate Director, Head of Lead Discovery, Director, Head of Lead Discovery, and Senior Director, Head of Lead Discovery.

Shane Buker attended Boston University from 1999 to 2003, graduating with a B.A. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, summa cum laude with distinction. Shane then went on to Harvard Medical School, where they obtained their PhD in Biochemistry in 2009.
