Majd Sakr

Majd Sakr is a seasoned academic and industry professional currently serving as the Chief Learning and Research Officer for Accenture's LearnVantage division since May 2024. With a strong educational foundation, Majd earned a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, where time was also spent as a graduate student. Since October 2006, Majd has been a teaching professor at Carnegie Mellon University, taking on various roles including Associate Teaching Professor, Assistant Dean for Research at the Qatar Campus, and Coordinator of the Computer Science Program in Qatar. Earlier experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor at the American University of Science and Technology from January 2004 to September 2006 and as a Research Intern at NEC Research Institute from 1994 to 2000.
