In 2000, they pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Epidemiology at the University of Washington, which they completed in 2002. Casper subsequently specialized in Infectious Disease by undertaking an Infectious Disease Fellowship at the University of Washington - School of Medicine from 2000 to 2003.
