Shams al-Badry

Shams Al-Badry serves as the Civic Engagement Manager at ACCESS - Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services, a role held since January 2021, previously working as a Civic Engagement Specialist and Advocacy Specialist within the same organization. Prior experience includes positions as a Program Support Assistant at the U.S. Small Business Administration, an Academic Advisor at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, and a Lead Teacher at Plaza de Niños. Shams Al-Badry also completed a Public Relations Internship at the Nebraska Attorney General's Office. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Community Development and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science with a minor in International Human Rights, both from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, along with studies at the University of Gothenburg.
