Ian Francis has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Ian started their career at Philips/Fluke Scientific Test and Measurement Division as an Electronics Engineer, where they repaired and supported various multimeters. Ian then joined SERCo Space Limited, contracted to NRSC, as a Systems Support Engineer and Shift Supervisor, where they were involved in processing and archiving data from the ESA satellite ERS-1. Ian later transitioned to NRSC, where they worked as a Remote Sensing Analyst, Systems Engineer, Developer, and IT Engineer, providing software development for geospatial projects. Ian then joined ABB Energy Information Systems Ltd, where they started as a Delphi/Oracle software developer and was promoted to Team Leader and eventually Project Manager. During their tenure, they became the divisional Y2K project manager. Ian then joined Infoterra as a Project Manager/Developer, managing various projects and leading development teams.
