Javier Montes

Javier Montes has over 15 years of experience in the renewable energy industry, with a focus on solar PV development in the last 10 years. Javier currently works as Sales at Acciona, and previously served as the Director de Desarrollo de Negocio Asia Pacífico and Director Desarrollo Solar Fotovoltaico para Norteamérica, Pacífico, Asia y Oceanía. In these roles, they were responsible for company growth and project development in the target markets, managing development and investment of PV projects, leading EPC and O&M sales activities, and leading project acquisition processes. Javier has also negotiated EPC and O&M contracts both from customer and provider positions. During the construction phase of projects, they track projects to ensure delivery within schedule, investment budget, quality levels and target ROI. Javier has also coordinated with Country Managing Directors and is responsible for key partners and customers.

Javier Montes completed a Programa de Dirección General at IESE (Instituto de Estudios Superiores de la Empresa) and an Ingeniero Superior Industrial in Electricidad at Escuela Técnica Superior Leandro José de Torróntegui.

They are on a team with Rafael Esteban - Business Development, Joaquín Ancín - Engineering And Construction, and Juan Otazu - Production and Operations. Their manager is Rafael Mateo, CEO, Energy.
