Tom Nelson has over 30 years of experience in engineering, research and development, and project management. Tom has held various leadership roles, including Director of Engineering at ACCO Brands and Engineering Manager at The Chamberlain Group, Inc. Tom has also worked at Newell Rubbermaid as the Director of Research & Development, managing a team of managers, engineers, technicians, and interns. Tom has experience in designing and developing new products for global markets and has worked on brands such as Sharpie, Accent, Expo, Prismacolor, and Rolodex. Prior to that, Tom was a Senior Project Manager at Visualize, where they led the design and development of technical resources for consumer, industrial, and institutional products. Tom also has experience in the sports industry, having worked as a Project Engineer at Wilson Sporting Goods, where they led global cross-functional teams in designing and developing golf clubs for different marketplaces. Tom started their career as a Mechanical Engineering Manager at Oxy-Dry, where they were responsible for the design, development, and testing of commercial printing press accessory equipment. Tom also worked as a Design Engineer at McCain Mfg, where they designed and developed automated assembly machinery and systems. Tom's career began as a Recruiter at ESPO Engineering.
Tom Nelson attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering from 1982 to 1987. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology and an Associate's degree in Mechanical Design Engineering Technology.
