Wim Bartels

Wim Bartels is a seasoned professional in the fields of finance and sustainability, currently serving on the Senior Advisory Board Preparer Forum for Sustainability Disclosure at WBCSD and co-leading the CFO Network. Bartels also holds positions as a member of the Financial Reporting & Accountancy Commission at Autoriteit Financiële Markten, European Sustainability Senior Partner at Deloitte, and member of the Sustainability Reporting Board at EFRAG. Additionally, Bartels chairs the Sustainability Policy Group at Accountancy Europe and contributes to the Task Force on ESG Reporting. Bartels has been a member of the Expert Panel for The Prince's Accounting for Sustainability Project since 2017 and served as an ambassador for Planet Finance at Nederlandse Beroepsorganisatie van Accountants. Previously, Bartels chaired the Monitoring Committee for the iMVO Covenant in the insurance sector and held the position of Partner Corporate Value in Control at KPMG Nederland. Educated at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and INSEAD, Bartels possesses a strong academic background in business management and strategy.
