Alastair Scott has held various roles in the finance sector since 2010. Alastair began their career at Chivas Brothers Limited as an IFRS Project Director in 2010. In 2011, they became an Interim Finance Director at Albert Bartlett & Sons Limited, where they renegotiated banking facilities, improved working capital, reduced risk profile, and persuaded the board to initiate an ERP project. In 2012, they took on an Interim Project Role at Bacardi. From 2014 to 2017, they worked at Tokheim UK LTD, first as a Shared Services Director EMEA for Dover Fluids, and then as a Finance Director. During this time, they led a project of 50+ people across 8 countries to establish a European Shared Service Centre, created reporting for the business, increased financial awareness across the management team, and implemented a cost reduction strategy resulting in multi-£M savings. In 2018, they became a Consultant at a UK Regulated Investment Fund, where they supported the development of business strategy and financials, and designed and implemented a governance structure from the board down following an MBO. Alastair also held an Interim Finance Controller / Project Manager role at Pryme Group that same year. In 2019, they took on the role of Financial Director at Downhole Products. In 2021, they became a Consultant M&A at ACE Winches, as well as the Chief Financial Officer.

Alastair Scott obtained their M.A. in Accountancy from the University of Aberdeen between 1986 and 1989. Alastair then completed their A.C.M.A. / C.G.M.A. from The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants between 1989 and 1992. In 2002, they earned their Green Belt in Six Sigma. Alastair also attended Cranfield School of Management in 2009, although no degree was obtained.
