Paul Peloso

Paul Peloso has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently, they serve as the Chief Medical Officer at Acelyrin, Inc. Prior to this role, they worked at Horizon Pharma plc as the Vice President and Therapeutic Area Head, Rheumatology from 2018 to 2021. Before that, they held the position of Group Medical Director - Clinical Development at AbbVie from 2013 to 2018. Peloso's career began at Merck in 2006, where they worked as the Executive Director of Clinical Research until 2013.

Paul Peloso began their education at McMaster University in 1976, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. Paul completed both degrees in 1981 and 1980 respectively. In 1982, Paul enrolled in the University of Calgary where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine degree in 1985. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Toronto between 1991 and 1994. Paul also completed their FRCPC in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology at the University of Calgary from 1986 to 1991.
