Katey Elding has a diverse range of work experience in the social and community services sector. Katey started their career as a Project Officer at the City of Tea Tree Gully, where they focused on improving community aged care systems through participative action-based research. Katey then moved on to the University of South Australia, where they worked as a Coordinator in Occupational Therapy. At ECH Inc., Katey held various roles, including Program Consultant and Manager of Social and Wellness Programs. Katey'sresponsibilities included leading and managing social and wellness centers for individuals 50 years old and above. Katey also worked as a Project Officer at ECH Inc., where they wrote successful applications for government funding and developed new service models. Currently, Katey Elding is the Head of Social at ACH Group, overseeing the social inclusion and program management for the organization.

Katey Elding's education history starts with their attendance at Pedare Christian College, an Anglican and Uniting Church School, from 1986 to 1991. Katey then went on to study at the University of South Australia, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Occupational Therapy/Therapist from 1993 to 1996.

In 2009, Katey pursued further education at the Australian Institute of Management, completing a Certificate IV in Project Management. Katey then expanded their qualifications in 2010 and 2011 by studying at Insight International, SA and earning a Certificate IV in Frontline Management.
