Richard Sebastian

Richard Sebastian is an accomplished educator and leader in teaching and learning technologies, currently serving as a Teaching and Learning Coach at Achieving the Dream since March 2016. In this role, Richard provides coaching on high-impact teaching practices and digital learning to community college leaders and faculty. Previously, Richard held the position of Director of Open and Digital Learning, leading initiatives for over 300 community colleges in support of open educational resources and digital learning, achieving over $3 million in grant funding for impactful projects. Richard's prior experience includes leadership roles at the Virginia Community College System and Virginia Commonwealth University, where Richard focused on instructional technology, online learning, and adult education initiatives. Richard holds a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Virginia and a B.A. in English Language and Literature and Religious Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University.
