Johnita Dickerson

Johnita Dickerson currently serves as the Cultural Competency Committee Chair at Achieving True Self, where initiatives focus on enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization. Previous roles include Registered Behavior Technician at Achieving True Self, advocating for clients' behavioral needs, and Associate Community School Director at the University of Maryland School of Social Work, specializing in family engagement strategies. With a rich background in education and support for underrepresented groups, Johnita has also taught English as a Second Language and Spanish, and worked as an interpreter and translator. Currently pursuing dual master's degrees in Applied Behavior Analysis and Social Work, Johnita holds a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish Language and Literature and Psychology from Salisbury University.
