Ben Harper

Ben Harper has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Ben began their career at Barclays as a Manager in Corporate Business Support, where they evaluated business plans and managed external consultants. After that, they joined KPMG as a Manager in Restructuring, where they provided advice and guidance to companies in financial difficulty. During this role, they conducted business reviews, analyzed financial and strategic positions, and developed complex cash cycle forecasting models.

Ben then worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Zamsolar Limited, a social enterprise start-up in Zambia. In this role, they led a business model transformation, implemented accounting and inventory control systems, and created a five-year integrated model based on accurate data.

Ben later joined Publicitas as a Financial Projects Manager, where they provided financial insight and analysis to senior management. Ben presented financial analysis to the Board of Directors and coordinated teams across different time zones.

At the Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), Ben served as a Finance Business Partner and acted as the primary point of contact for Program Managers. Ben streamlined grant management processes and improved user engagement during a software rollout.

Ben then joined MTC, where they held two roles. Initially, they worked as a Financial Analysis Consultant, leading workforce financial modeling and financial forecasting. Ben also spearheaded bid contract submissions and coordinated staffing requirements across multiple departments. Later, they became the Head of FP&A/Insights and Analytics, where they created and led the Insights and Analytics team. Ben streamlined budget review processes and financial forecasting, improving integration into medium-term forecasting.

Most recently, Ben worked at RFI Global as the Global Head of FP&A. Ben was responsible for budgeting, cash flow, and reporting to private equity investors. Ben played a key role in creating and owning the budgeting cycle and short and long-term cash flow.

Ben Harper completed their education with the following timeline. Ben attended Nottingham High School from 1996 to 2003, where they did not pursue any specific degree or field of study. From 2003 to 2007, they attended the University of Warwick and obtained a Master's degree in Engineering (MEng) with a focus on Manufacturing Engineering and Management. Afterward, Ben pursued further education at ICAEW from 2007 to 2010 and successfully passed the ACA examination, earning a degree in First Time Pass ACA. In September 2010, they obtained the certification of FCA from ICAEW.
