Global Business Development Director - Europe Sourcing 100% (f/m/d)

The Global Business Development Lead will be responsible for leading the sourcing and acquisition of innovative molecules from pharmaceutical and biotech companies across Europe. This role will focus on identifying and securing high-potential new molecular entities (NMEs) for development and commercialization, driving growth in key therapeutic areas.

This position can be based in Zurich (Switzerland) or Dubai (UAE).

Your Opportunities:

  1. Identify and Evaluate Opportunities: Proactively source and evaluate licensing, co-development, and acquisition opportunities for innovative molecules from European pharmaceutical and biotech companies

  2. Lead Negotiations: Manage deal processes, including term sheet negotiations, and work jointly where appropriate on contract finalization, due diligence and partnership agreements with the execution and operations team

  3. Market and Competitive Analysis: Conduct thorough market and scientific assessments to identify promising targets that align with company strategy, focusing on unmet medical needs and emerging therapeutic trends

  4. Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with internal research, legal, regulatory, access, commercial teams to assess the technical viability and commercial potential of innovative molecules

  5. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at European biotech firms, research institutions, and venture-backed startups to foster deal flow and collaboration

  6. Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with global teams including R&D, commercial, and finance to ensure smooth integration of sourced assets into the company’s pipeline

  7. Regulatory and Market Access Strategy: Understand emerging markets (LATAM, CIS, Africa, MENA) regulatory environments and market access pathways to ensure that sourced molecules can be effectively developed and commercialized globally

Who you are:

  • Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, or a related field (MBA or PhD preferred)

  • 10+ years of experience in business development, licensing, or strategic partnerships in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry

  • Proven track record of successfully sourcing and closing deals for innovative molecules, particularly in the European market

  • Strong network within the European pharmaceutical and biotech ecosystem.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills

  • Deep understanding of drug development processes, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks across emerging markets

  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken / Other languages skills are a plus
