Max began their professional career at Eli Lilly and Company, where they worked from 2002 to 2007 in various finance-related roles, including Finance Manager for Kazakhstan/Ukraine Regions, Finance and Business Development Manager, and Financial Analyst.

Max Sorokin attended Wabash College from 1998 to 2002, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, Business, and German. In 2008, they briefly attended IMD, where they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
