Elizabeth Knowles

Elizabeth Knowles is an accomplished legal professional specializing in immigration and human rights law. Currently serving as an Associate Teaching Professor at Northeastern University School of Law since July 2021, Elizabeth also operates Knowles Immigration & Human Rights Defense LLC, focusing exclusively on immigration matters. With a strong background in legal education and advocacy, past roles include Interim Attorney at Kids in Need of Defense and Assistant Clinical Professor at The University of Akron, where Elizabeth directed the Immigration & Human Rights Clinic. Elizabeth has held leadership positions such as Executive Director of the Immigration Justice Project for the American Bar Association and is a board member of the ACLU of Ohio. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and a Diploma in International Human Rights Law from American University Washington College of Law.
