David McGuire

David McGuire is an experienced legal professional with a strong background in civil liberties advocacy. Since September 2007, McGuire has served as the Executive Director and previously as the Legislative and Policy Director at the American Civil Liberties Union of Connecticut, where responsibilities include leading legislative campaigns, analyzing policy proposals, and lobbying policymakers. Prior to this role, McGuire was a Staff Attorney, handling complex civil liberties litigation and mentoring legal interns. McGuire's legal career began as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Connecticut Judicial Branch, providing research and drafting assistance for trial judges. McGuire holds a Juris Doctorate from Western New England University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Purdue University.
