Rhonda Friberg is the Head of Engineering for the ACLU’s Product & Technology Department since February 2018, focusing on strategic planning, engineering development, mentoring future leaders, and partnering with organizational leaders to create impactful products. Prior to this role, Friberg built a new Product Development team for the ACLU to create consumer-facing web products. Previous experience includes serving as Engineering Manager for the Frontend Team at Mapzen, where leadership and mentorship were key responsibilities, and as a Senior Software Engineer at Trulia, contributing to new map features for the website. Earlier roles included Project Manager at OpenGeo, Interactive Solutions Manager at GreenInfo Network, GIS Consultant/Project Manager for the City of St. Paul, and GIS Technician for the Ramsey Soil & Water Conservation District. Friberg holds a Master's degree in Geology from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor's degree in Geography from Macalester College.
