Faris Ashai

Faris Ashai has a diverse range of work experience in various roles. In 2019, they worked as a Diamond Staff Member for ACM at UCSD. In 2020, they served as an Events Committee Member and a Publicity & Outreach Committee member for CS foreach. In 2021, Faris worked as a Technical Event Lead for ACM Hack @ UCSD and as a Frontend Developer for ACM at UCSD. Faris also worked as a Computer Science Tutor for UC San Diego Computer Science and Engineering Department (CSE). In 2022, Faris interned as a Software Engineer at Apple and as a Software Engineer Intern at Deckard Technologies. Currently, they are the Vice President of Development at ACM at UCSD, where they manage a team of software engineers and UI/UX designers. Faris is responsible for leading projects, providing feedback, and ensuring the team's success. Faris also has experience in organizing hackathons and managing logistics for large-scale events. Faris Ashai completed their high school education at Palos Verdes Peninsula High School from 2015 to 2019, earning a High School Diploma. From 2019 to 2023, they pursued further education at UC San Diego and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics and Computer Science.
