Jesse Oropesa

Jesse Oropesa has a strong background in legal affairs, with experience in various roles and companies. Starting in 2005, Jesse worked as a Senior Paralegal at Mac Partners, LP until 2008. From 2008 to 2010, Jesse worked as a Senior Paralegal at Broadview Security. In 2010, Jesse joined MicroStrategy as a Senior Legal Manager until 2013. Following that, Jesse joined Novavax and held the positions of Senior Paralegal from 2013 to 2015, Associate Director of Legal Affairs from 2015 to 2021, and finally, Senior Director of Legal Affairs from 2021 to 2023. Currently, Jesse is working at Acorda Therapeutics, Inc. as the Executive Director of Legal and Assistant Corporate Secretary.

Jesse Oropesa's education history begins with their high school diploma, which they obtained from North High School in Wichita, KS, between 1990 and 1994. Following this, they pursued an Associate of Applied Science degree in Paralegal Studies from Dallas College from 2005 to 2006. Later, Jesse attended the University of North Texas from 2007 to 2010, where they completed a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance. Their academic journey continued as they enrolled in the American University Washington College of Law, where they pursued a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, which they obtained between 2016 and 2019.

In addition to their formal education, Jesse Oropesa has also earned a certification in "Corporate Governance: Maximize Your Effectiveness in the Boardroom" from Wharton Executive Education in May 2022.
