Evan Kawahara is an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in developing quality gaming and financial wellness systems. Currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager at Acorns since May 2022, Evan focuses on enhancing customer experience through comprehensive financial solutions. Prior to Acorns, Evan held the position of Senior Engineering Manager at NerdWallet from February 2020 to May 2022, where the mission involved providing clarity for personal finance decisions. Evan's tenure at Zynga from August 2013 to February 2020 spanned various roles, including Senior Engineering Manager, Engineering Manager, Senior Software Engineer, and Software Engineer, contributing to projects like Zynga Poker and Wizard of Oz: Magic Match. Earlier experiences include internships at Disney Mobile and HangChillParty, along with an office assistant role at AMEC Geomatrix. Evan earned a degree from the University of California, Berkeley between 2009 and 2013.
